Eligibility Criteria for the Helmut Veith Stipend for Women in Computer Science 

To be eligible for the Helmut Veith stipend for women in computer science:

1. You must apply for one of the eligible courses taught in English at TU Wein(Vienna        University of Technology).

2. You must be a female who has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or an equivalent degree

3. You must have a strong interest in one of these areas: Logic in Computer Science, Formal Methods and Verification, Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, Algorithms and Complexity Theory, and Computer Security.

4. You must pass the English proficiency test. However, if your bachelor's was taught in English language, it is enough to provide a certificate from your university stating that you studied in the English language.

Kindly note that the funding will be awarded to you on the basis that you are unconditionally admitted to the program. That you have applied for the Helmut Veith scholarship does not mean you have been selected. 

 

 

Conditions

1. Make sure to demonstrate good progress during your studies. This means you should have at least 25 ECTS credits per term.

2. Achieve an average grade of 1.5 and/or above during your masters.

3. You must reside in Austria during your studies at TU Wein. If there is a need for you to leave for research or other related reasons, it will be subject to approval.

How to Apply for the Helmut Veith Stipend for Women in Computer Science

To apply for the Helmut Veith Stipend for women in computer science, there are documents that you are required to submit. The documents include: 

1. Curriculum Vitae

2. A cover letter. This should contain the type of funding you are applying for and other relevant content you would want to be in the cover letter.

3. A motivation letter describing your reasons for wanting to study in Austria, why you have chosen the Helmut Veith Stipend, and why you chose the course of study.

4. Contacts of two referees (they will be asked to write letters of recommendation).

5. Bachelor's degree certificate and/or diplomas. You can provide a preliminary certificate and possible date of graduation if the final degree certificate is not ready yet.
